Healing Hearts With Horses
Healing Hearts with Horses is a 501(c)3 non-profit, Christian based organization working with foster, adoptive, and at-risk children and youth in association with Horse Heaven Rescue. Healing Hearts with Horses was founded in 2000 by Deb Hoyt. Deb began Healing Hearts to help children and young adults who suffer from abuse, neglect, abandonment, psychological damage, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Attachment Disorder, Bipolar, ADD/ADHD, and other disorders.
Our programs are offered free of charge to foster, adoptive, and at-risk youth. Ninety-five percent of what we take in goes directly towards the children and the programs.
*Updates*
Volunteers take note! The Iowa Horse Fair is coming up in a couple of weeks. Healing Hearts will have a booth set up at the trade show again this year, but we're going to need some help from YOU! Volunteers will be needed to "booth sit" during the day on Saturday and Sunday; "booth sitting" involves staying in the booth to talk to visitors about our organization, answering questions, taking donations, and providing informational materials such as brochures and business cards.
